How do I find the hospital?
We are located on the corner of Ashley Phosphate and Dorchester Road in North Charleston, right next to Walgreens. We share a parking lot. If you need assistance, please call us at 843-552-8278.
What kinds of pets does The Animal Hospital of North Charleston see?
At TAH we see exclusively cats and dogs. If you have other pets, we refer clients to an exotics Specialist in Mt. Pleasant (Avian and Exotic Animal Care 843-216-8387).
What types of products does The Animal Hospital of North Charleston carry?
We are a full-service, modern animal hospital striving to provide our clients with only the highest quality nutrition, veterinary medicine and pet care products available. We only carry items we use ourselves. We also offer top quality flea, tick, and heart worm preventatives… all with the manufacturer’s guarantee. We also have a fully stocked in-house pharmacy with modern medicines.
How much does it cost for spay, dental, neuter, vaccines, exam, etc.?
This depends on many factors such as the size/age of the patients, other diseases they may have, if they are current on vaccines, the severity of the problem, the type of symptoms, and the previous medical history. We can give you a better idea of various prices if you call the front desk. Often, we will need to do a physical exam to recommend the next best step to help your pet.
It's midnight and my pet is sick. What can I do?
Please call the Emergency Clinic. Even if you do not bring your pet to them, they can usually help you decide over the phone if your pet needs emergency care. They can advise you on the dose and type of Over the Counter Medication which may be safe. Please do not administer any medications without checking first because the internet is often WRONG!
