At The Animal Hospital of North Charleston, we are committed to providing leading veterinary services for our clients, patients, and local community. Our small-sized facility allows us to offer superior customer service by focusing on your pet’s individual healthcare needs. In order to minimize wait times to the best of our ability, we ask that you please call to make an appointment.
We are happy to schedule appointments 7 days a week! In commemoration of most holidays, we will be closed or close early.
While we understand that emergencies happen, we ask that clients call and secure appointments whenever possible. Appointments may inevitably be delayed in the case of unexpected, emergency cases that require urgent medical attention and take top priority. We do all we can to make sure each client is seen in a timely manner.
To best accommodate your busy schedule, drop-off appointments are available at any time as long as the client calls beforehand. If you need to drop off your pet the day before their scheduled appointment, we typically request drops offs between 8:00 AM – 8:30 AM. This allows our veterinarians to comprehensively examine your pet during reserved times. For the health and safety of all patients, your pet must be up-to-date on all necessary vaccinations and flea prevention prior to their drop-off appointment. As soon as your pet has been seen by Dr. Ingram, we will contact you and follow-up with diagnosis and discharge procedure.
Patient Arrival Policy
We understand that veterinary visits can be stressful, which is why we strive to maintain a welcoming and comfortable environment for all of our clients and their pets. To ease any anxiety elicited by new people and other pets, as well as to guarantee the protection of everyone in the hospital, we ask that you bring your pet to their scheduled appointment controlled and properly restrained with a leash or pet carrier.
To prevent the spread of diseases to other patients, please let us know prior to your arrival if you suspect your pet is suffering from kennel cough, Parvo, or any other infectious condition. We will happily make special arrangements for your pet.
To provide leading veterinary care, payment must be made at the time services are rendered. We will gladly provide estimates prior to procedures and hospitalizations. For your own protection, all cards are required to be signed by the cardholder.

Obtaining Records from Other Clinics
We commonly treat and care for pets from other veterinary facilities for second opinions, emergencies, or visiting and newcomers to the area. We ask that you share your pet’s health records from your previous or primary veterinarian with us so we can best care for your pet.
You can simply bring these records with you to your first appointment, have them faxed to us at (843) 552-8588, or email firstname.lastname@example.org. If necessary, we can also accommodate you by contacting your previous or primary veterinarian directly to have your pet’s health records transferred to us.
At The Animal Hospital, we believe in providing our patients with exceptional medicine at an affordable cost. Our in-house pharmacy is always well-stocked and maintained to ensure your pet has the medicine and products he or she needs to feel their best. For the health and safety of your pet, we only do business with reputable suppliers, pharmacies, manufacturers, and compounding laboratories. If your pet needs a product that we do not have in-stock, we will gladly help you place an order from our online store.
We fully respect our clients, patients, and visitor’s privacy and identity protection. Under no circumstances will our hospital share medical information without first obtaining consent from the client. We value the strong relationships we form with our clients and patients, allowing us to have meaningful and open communication regarding their pet’s health, happiness, and overall wellbeing. We guarantee that personal information of this kind will forever be shared in trust and strict confidentiality.
Due to the small size of our facility, we are unable to offer boarding services at this time. In some cases, we can make exceptions for special needs patients.
